Meet Derran Cannon, Wasatch Beach Volleyball Pro:
Derran brings extensive playing and coaching experience to his role as Teaching Pro for Wasatch Beach Volleyball. He’s played indoor since age 10, including junior and senior high school, club, college and professional ball. He earned All Conference, All Region and MVP designations. While he developed his skills as a setter, he ultimately moved to the left side.
Derran has coached junior and senior high school boys and girls. He also coached the University of Utah Men’s Club Volleyball Team.
On the sand, Derran has achieved consistent success. He finished the 2010 season as the top-ranked men’s open player at Wasatch Beach.
Derran and his beautiful (and volleyball playing) wife, Sarah, live in North Salt Lake. The Cannons balance their passion for volleyball with family and friends, work and church, exercising and napping, watching movies and taking vacations.
Wasatch Beach Volleyball is fortunate to have one of Utah’s top volleyball players as Teaching Pro. We hope you will take advantage of Derran’s knowledge and skills to improve your game.
